I’ve had a lot of Fenix lights, none of them survived very long. My first one was Fenix L2D, went through about 3 models. Switch failure, circuit board failure. Really one mode is just fine. Get a Surefire body with a twisty, M61 and literally the light is end-of-the-world bulletproof. There are no moving parts and nothing to fail.

My Fenix L2D 2 AA 135 lumens flashlight and Maratac 9290 AA with 190 lumens had great beam length before it broke on me. I used to do the samething everytime I took out the garbage. lol. What impresses me the most is I own another Fenix a Fenix L2S 2 AA with is 45 lumens, but almost just as close to the INOVA X1 1 AA 55 lumens and 6 lumen The filter seat uses the material PC 2805 PLEASE NOTE: This filter adapter will only work with the following lights in the Fenix Digital series: PD30, PD20, LD20, LD10, P3D, P2D, L1D, L2D, P1D, L1T/L2Tv2. (It will not work with first version L1T/L2T)
Battery Life. On the brightest setting of 120 lumens expect to get a very short battery life of about and hour and a half. This is to be expected given that the FEnix L1D is pumping out a lot of light with only a single AA battery to fuel it. The medium-high setting is around 100 lumens and taps out around 2.5 hours.
